Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) provides support to current and former serving members and their families through a range of benefits (including ongoing or one off payments).

Comfort Discovered is proud to be a DVA service provider for the supply of Mobility and Functional Supports to Veterans nationally.

• Comfort Discovered assists entitled veterans, war widows & widowers and dependents through the provision of aids and appliances under the DVA Mobility & Functional Support program (MFS) to minimise the impact of disabilities, enhance their life and maximise independence when undertaking daily living activities.
• We provides safe and appropriate equipment according to assessed clinical needs in an effective and timely manner and as part of the overall management of an individual’s health care.
• Daily living and mobility aids are available for eligible veterans with an assessed clinical need from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

 

There are more than 2000 items available to those entitled. If eligible, DVA will fund prescribed appliances with no out of pocket expense for the veteran. Delivery and installation (if required) are also covered. Prescribing DVA appliances through Comfort Discovered is a quick and easy process. Our friendly staff are available to assist you and your client/patient, as well as provide updates throughout the entire process.
